Kelly, 19, Wales. I like cats, reading, and food.

Today I need to

  • Tidy my room
  • Shower
  • Laminate Karen’s dress design
  • Go to Ash’s house

but I have no motivation to start. boo.

I decided to list all of the things

that annoyed me about the film adaptation of The Hunger Games:

  • Peeta and Katniss have barely any conversations together
  • Peeta doesn’t talk about bread. Like at all, he doesn’t explain about the bread from each district
  • Haymitch isn’t at the reaping
  • There is no discussion about the tactics inside the arena with Peeta and Katniss
  • The dress Katniss wears during the interview is like a budget version of the book dress, and its not supposed to catch fire
  • You don’t find out anything about Rue, not even that Rue only trusts Katniss because of the Mockingjay pin
  • When Rue dies, no bread is delivered from district 11
  • Rue’s death isn’t even that sad because she’s with Katniss for about 5 minutes and you don’t know anything about her
  • No Greasy Sae?
  • No Darius
  • No Avox girl
  • Katniss buys the Mockingjay pin from some market and its not a present off Madge
  • Madge isn’t even a character! Therefore no link to Madge’s aunt & the pin & Haymitch
  • You don’t even find out what a Mockingjay is
  • Katniss doesn’t find out about the leaves therefore she can’t heal Peeta’s wounds (which he miraculously heals from immediately)
  • Katniss doesn’t lose the use of her left ear (used as an excuse in book 2)
  • Ridiculous magical healing cream?
  • Peeta’s leg healing up magically
  • Peeta doesn’t have to get a prosthetic leg
  • Film Peeta is a dick
  • President Snow is not portrayed by Malcolm McDowell (who I imagined him to be) and looks nowhere near as threatening as book Snow
  • The Mutts at the end of the film do not resemble the book Mutts at all, they just look like giant pugs
  • There is no blood/gore at all, not even blood on weapons

I could go on but I wont. The film is a good film, its just a bad attempt at the book. I thought the same about Twilight too.
